The Journey From Grape To Raisin
The big, big news is Sid Griffin finally has a new solo album out, his first in a decade. It is titled The Journey From Grape To Raisin and is released Friday Sept. 27 on Label 51 Recordings.
The album was recorded in Nashville, Music City USA, using Sid’s dear friend and producer Thomm Jutz. Sid decided it would be nice “to record an album where no one had an accent” so that meant his native Kentucky or nearby Tennessee and Tennessee won the coin toss.
Old friends Mark Fain (Chris Hillman, Kentucky Thunder) and Tammy Rogers (the SteelDrivers) played on the album as did the cream of Nashville session pickers.
A link for pre-ordering your copy of The Journey From Grape To Raisin is below, and we know you will dig this platter as every song on it was played live on the recent Peter Case tour earlier this year. So both Sid and his songs are battle hardened and ready to go!
