September November – Out Now!

“Ladies and gentlemen, the four year wait is over! The new Long Ryders album, September November, is out TODAY on Cherry Red Records and as the reviews have been so amazing we thought everyone should know how proud we are of the album.

Recorded in California at producer Ed Stasium’s studio it was a labour of love for all involved.

Many people wondered how the band would progress after the loss of Tom Stevens but bass duties were shared between Stephen McCarthy and our friend Murry Hammond of the Old 97s, each of whom united with drummer Greg Sowders to keep the Long Ryders’ engine room as hot as ever.

While their classic rock/harmony/melody sound abounds the album features the band’s first ever instrumental, Song For Ukraine, three primarily acoustic numbers, and not only ends with a Tom Stevens song it ends with Tom Stevens playing bass and singing on one of his own songs. A very moving finale to a very emotional album.
