Nashville Western Edge Exhibit
The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville USA has a marvellous new exhibit called Western Edge: the Roots and Reverberations of Los Angeles Country Rock.
Alongside such understandably famous names as the Byrds, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Buffalo Springfield, Mike Nesmith’s First National Band, Dwight Yoakam, and Poco you will find the Long Ryders (😲❗️) as well as Rosie Flores, the Blasters, Los Lobos, and many more.
It was a thrill to be included, the Long Ryders were so pleased with this, and on a personal note thanks to the exhibit for pluggin’ my books which are always available at the Hall’s terrific bookstore. I got a kick out of the exhibit requesting my original lyric sheet for Looking For Lewis And Clark which is in the display.
I only wish Tom Stevens would have lived to see this.
