Phil Odgers new album
Keeping busy as usual was impossible during the pandemic but in September 2020 Sid got his first but not last studio gig of the pandemic when singer for the legendary band The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Phil Odgers, called Sid from west London where he was recording at KnightTime Studios.
Travelling by mini cab with guitars, harmonicas, mandolin, and a smile Sid played on several of the tracks on Phil’s marvellous new platter, Ghosts Of Rock n’ Roll.
Fans of The Men They Couldn’t Hang and Phil Odgers’ solo stuff will adore every tune on the album, Sid The Squid plays on The Desert Has 1,000 Eyes and sings on a totally cool over of Phil Ochs’ The Flower Lady. Yet the entire album is good stuff so check it out when you can.
Released on August 27th it is available from via all good record stores like here and here.
Celebrating the release of the album Phil is having folks who played on the album join him live. Sid performed on the aforementioned two tracks so Phil has invited Sid to perform the two songs live with him this September 27 at London’s Green Note.
It is currently showing as Sold Out but the show will also be live streamed so if you can’t make it or get a ticket, you can still see the show.
