DECEMBER 2004

Sid has two upcoming BBC radio shows:
The first is Boxing Day 6pm to 9pm UK time and then January 2nd Sid is on again 6pm to 9pm playing bluegrass and acoustic sounds. The shows are found on BBC local radio in the eastern counties which are BBC Radio Northampton, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, BBC Essex and BBC Three Counties Radio (Beds, Herts and Bucks).

If the BBC receives emails, phone calls, faxes and letters saying 'more of this, please!' then Sid will have a permanent radio show once again so please tune in, get turned on and drop the BBC a missive saying you dug it.

At midnight on Sunday June 13 VH2's Americana cable TV show will start with the Byrds' performing "Turn, Turn, Turn" while the second song will be the Long Ryders legendary video of "Looking For Lewis & Clark". This program is repeated on Wednesday June 16 at midnight and VH2 say they plan to play the Long Ryders video on the show in the week after as well. Get your VCRs ready to tape!
MAY 2004

A Long Ryders tour of Europe - THE STATE OF THE REUNION - their first gigs in seventeen years, is scheduled for June 25 to July 10. This is with the exact 1984-1987 lineup of the band.

Gram Parsons: Fallen Angel will also be shown on April 29 and May 2 at the Nashville Film Festival in Tennessee.

March 5, 2004 saw the initial BBC showing of Gram Parsons: Fallen Angel, the ninety minute documentary Sid has been working on for most of 2003. And the reviews have been incredible so far! A co-production between the German production company Spothouse and the BBC, this is the first of several planned film documentaries for Sid.

The bluegrass Coal Porters recently recorded a cover of Bruce Springsteen's Highway Patrolman for a new charity tribute album. The album is called From Small Things Big Things Come: A Tribute To Bruce Springsteen and will be released in May (Spain) and July (USA) on Buffalo Records.
